Of course it is; and I've already mentioned that my brother just moved to Tampa. He's cool to hang out with and he'll have a good crash pad.

The facebook movie was pretty good. At first I felt it was a shame that all of this drama happened, but now I realized half of this was probably not even true. Over dramatisation to the max.

I'd like to see that.

@Per: my thinking is this 'supernatural storm, isn't unlike a real storm system/weather pattern. Sometimes we will go decades with out a drought, then see a few. I can see how over the years this supernatural power will ebb and flow - maybe the walls between dimensions weakens and strengthens- and that's what happened there. The 'storm, and the ghosts around because of it, opened the door for Zuul.

Here's a question that came to me in a dream this night: Were the ghosts actually the spirits of the dead raised from their graves by Zuul (for whatever purpose), or were they rather supernatural/ectoplasmatic vanguards of Zuul's arrival?

Option 1.

That's why the same ghosts came back again in Ghostbusters 2 in some cases. However, the Ghostbusters Video Game from last year explains it clearly - and the game is canon.

Damn, I just returned from a party, and by the looks, I'll be seriously ill from a cold tomorrow.  :S

Which would make it a bunch of lucky coincidences.

I haven't played that game. How does it fit in?

Correct-- Like Bruce Willis being in the Nakatomi tower at the right time, like Luke Skywalker being on the right planet at the right time, like the pizza delivery boy showing up at the right time... ;)

That plot construction always pissed me off, actually. In the first film, everything seems fine, with a young boy getting the chance to save the universe. But Darth Vader's revelation at the end of the second one, as great and shocking a plot twist as it was, kills all the plausibility.

Well, it was later revealed that Nibbler did the prank call and pushed him in. ;)

@Travis- did they play Circle of Hands?

Well, I didn't mind most of the plot-- it makes sense that Obi Wan would be around a desolate planet keeping an eye on Luke.  I didn't mind that Vader was Luke's father.  Its just that out of the entire galaxy, those droids just happen to fall onto that planet?  Ah, gotta have some divine intervention to make most plots happen.

Funny you speaking of Fry (which you are correct)... I was sorta thinking of the plot line for half the 70's era pornos.  :innocent:

If you were German, I could toss in a simple phrase - "why is there straw here?" and you'd be rolling on the floor.

Gotcha!  I love classic porn references!

So, this is kinda funny.  Go to Googlemaps, click 'get directions', start: Japan, end: China, look at instruction #43.

It's set in 1993. Basically, it's about how the River of Slime came to be, and how that is linked with Ivo Shandor and his cult of maniacs. Shandor created a magical circle with several buildings designed to use the entire city as a portal; the tower dedicated to Gozer was just one piece of the puzzle he created. The River of Slime was how he connected the various points in the magic circle, and Vigo was just so evil he kicked the machinery into gear - some of it.

It's a really good game.
