Let it Snow, let it snow, let it snow...

We've had a ton of snow over easter as well. I sure hope it clears up soon, as I'll be camping at the Keep it True festival next weekend. Then again, that's in southern Germany, so hopefully the weather's a lot better there.

A massive snowstorm today, starting last night.  It completely screwed up infrastructure; buses were late or missed shifts, trains were cancelled, troubles with planes, some accidents...  Crazy that this came in March, usually it's January/February.

Though I think it's a testament to the quality of Scandinavian infrastructure that society can keep running even in such conditions; down south, this kind of weather would have had schools and workplaces close down for its duration.

The infrastructure stays up, but, at least here in Denmark, regular people freak out whenever there's a sudden drop of snow. I've seen countless vehicles in the ditches because of a sudden snowfall. The funny thing is, when there's been a week or 2 of constant snow, no one seems to care, they just speed along at the usual 80-100km/hr, but when they're surprised by it, traffic slows to a crawl.

Then we have the idiots, like me, who choose to fit their summer tires in March. Punishment as due, I say  :P
