So, what role is Communism still playing in your country? I assume that in Croatia the party is the biggest.

The successor of League Of Communists Of Croatia (the SFRY ruling branch) became Social Democratic Party, after Croatia went independent.

The largest party in country, always has been, is utterly corrupt Croatian Democratic Union. For 20 years of our independence, they've ruled 17. SDP had a volatile government between 2000 and 2003 (coalition of six!). SDP's four-party coalition won 60% of the seats just couple of weeks ago, they're taking over, and the President comes from their ranks too. So now they should be able to have a stable government and seamless rule, we'll see what they're made from.

Apart from Social-Democrats, there's Labour Party with seven seats in parliament, they don't bicker with high-politics, only workers' rights and stuff, and they are true left. SDP is classic European center-left.

The true "communist" parties are marginal. CDU has destroyed or privatized 90% of state assets, so it's impossible do to anything in true Socialist doctrine. That's why people like me don't vote for them, we vote for SDP to remove CDU from the power.

Economic situation is grim but all the thiefs from CDU are finally getting processed and the party itself is getting sued by state attorney on charge of being a criminal organization. Yup.
