Here, you can read other visitors' comments on 'Juanita' as well as post your own. Any contribution to the commentary will be much appreciated, may it be cultural references relevant to the song (links to related websites, interpretations that may have been overlooked in the Commentary, and the like) or personal essays related to the topic of the song. Just be aware that messages that are either off-topic or too wacky may be deleted.

IMO the weakest of the three serious SIT b-sides. It's a good song but something about it doesn't agree with me. Although it's difficult to beat the other two...

At first i thought, from the title it was about a mummy. They found a mummified girl from the Incan civilisation in the mountains of andes.
    Archaelogists named her Juanita.

Dont know if that has any links...
  4. Maybe my mind's just in the gutter, but I always laugh a bit when Bruce sings: "Never gonna go down on Juanita!"

Juanita is a strange upbeat rocker about yearning for a woman, but then eventually rejecting her. Obviously b-side material, but good enough for a listen. The best part about these SIT b-sides is that the band sound like they are letting off steam and amusing themselves, especially Adrian. Plus, it’s always great to hear Bruce singing in different styles.
