Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

Love them all, but Janick is my favorite band member in IM. My favorite top 3 songs (The Book of Souls, Dance of Death, The Talisman) are all co-written by him, and he plays my top 2 solos (Blood Brothers, Shadows of the Valley). Also, based on the interviews, I can see that he is a very nice and humble person. His songs (with a couple of exceptions) never disappoint, and I can't wait to hear his next epic on album 18.

I was lucky enough to see IM live in 2019 and could not take my eyes off Janick through the whole show. He has a great stage presence.

Many years ago, when I first started listening to IM, I watched an interview where he said (I think during BNW era) "God bless you if you like Iron Maiden, and if you don't like Iron Maiden...you know what? God bless you, too." That was the moment he got me.

He's said this a few times actually. He's chanelling Jon Lord, from his introduction to the Concerto for Group and Orchestra:

Which does not in any way detract from the validity of your observation: it's just one truly original artist giving a nod to another (which I think may actually make it even more classy) :)

I think it's from Flight 666 too - the way he looks as if he's about to shape an F-word before he says God bless you too hahahahaha
