Janick’s first appearance with Maiden?

Janick's first ever live performance with Iron Maiden. June 27, 1990 at the Astoria Theatre in London during the Tattooed Millionaire Tour, Iron Maiden joined Janick and Bruce for a version of the Trooper.

Was this after Adrian had left? There is a bit of footage at 18:30 and it’s the NP lineup.

I've seen bits of this footage before, but I totally missed the part where the rest of Maiden joined Bruce's band. I don't know the exact dates of Adrian leaving and Janick joining, but they recorded NPFTD between June and September, so I would imagine Janick was already part of the band by then.

Maiden Revelations has a great article on this: https://maidenrevelations.com/2015/01/23/feature-friday-times-of-change-1990-91/

Not sure when Janick was announced. But here's the announcement about Adrian leaving in Kerrang Feb 90:

Second ASAP lp, hmm. The Untouchables material?

Heavier direction, I mean No Prayer is different from the previous two (I also think the band should have continued with the same approach, but indeed a bit heavier) and hard rock is Adrian's thing, but after just a few years, he formed a band that played heavier music. Janick also didn't play ''heavier'' songs before Maiden. Seventh Son has some heavier riffs and I wouldn't call songs like Holy Smoke, Hooks, Daughter and Fates heavy.
