Adrian's riff is most definitely prominent in the chorus, but the detail that for me takes it from 'good' to 'great' is that lick Dave plays (3:46-). It serves the same function as a drum fill really - at the end of each chord sequence, they alternate between a guitar lick and a drum fill to mark the repeating of the cycle. All very rooted in the blues, and such a nice touch. Like the blues, it's all a simple chord-sequence and basic rhythm, but it's the layers that they put on top of that make it sound fresh despite having been repeated endless of times through not only popular music, but also in the catalogue of the band.
