Iron Maiden to announce UK dates on Thursday 11 November!

If I counted correctly, there are 54 dates total in the tour section and it says "Still more 2011 dates to be announced!" That leaves 12 more dates open for a total of 66. I don't care what anyone says. I'm not giving up total hope that those will be for N.A. because there's EASILY room for 12 dates between April 18 and May 27.

We've been through this already.  "Around the world in 66 days" refers exclusively to the Ed Force One part of the tour, which lasts 66 days.  There's no other way to interpret it.  Your wishful thinking is causing you to tortuously stretch what the management has said into what you want.

And obviously there are still more European dates to be announced.  There's been absolutely no indication so far of a North American tour.

Not that it couldn't happen, of course.  But your attempts to ground your speculation in fact have been absolutely futile.

Ah yes, I'm being forgetful about that. And I will admit, that it is what I want. I think anyone on here of whom Maiden is skipping wants that.

You have no proof of where the next dates will be. What exactly makes it obvious to you?

And yes, I absolutely refuse to give up hope until ALL dates are finalized!

Travis,  the way the tour is laid out so far is terrible, and unjust to the rabid hundreds of thousands of Maiden junkies in the states and in Canada.  The news just keeps getting worse for us, and listening to the others plan for multiple gigs is frustrating.  You and I know, that last tour, with only El Dorado off FF, was not nearly enough. Maybe the lads are planning something for us.
Keep up the faith, and maybe, just maybe, we can get in on the Final Frontier fun as well.

I think it's more unjust to the people who never got gig within a thousand kilometres of them.  There were only twelve gigs in North America for AMOLAD, so I can't see how this is any worse.

Ya, for the life of me, I'll never figure out some of Maiden's decisions. Along with this, they did the same for DOD. Also, not releasing a DVD concert with them doing all of AMOLAD when they were so excited about doing it all live. You would think they would want to share it with everyone, especially those of us who couldn't make it to a show.

There's something called market saturation.  It applies both to tour dates in the States and to DVDs.
Rush puts out a dvd for every tour why can't maiden?

out of all of they're tours from the past ten years 2 tours have been missed. It's not that hard.

hopefully it will get better now that they have a director who is a huge fan and nothing would make him more happy then working on DVDs.

Well, it's official that N.A. won't get a fall tour: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbe ... mID=149706

I wish I could interview Steve so I could ask him this:
True, you did a N.A. leg for TFF, but that wasn't fully supporting the album. After it being your highest charting album ever, why aren't you doing a full N.A. tour to fully support it?

I would love to hear his answer to that one.

He'll probally not give a shit and be glad that he is going to be getting to other uncharted places like Singapore followed by
'Some *unts recording this' :)

Got my tickets booked for Newcastle Arena today!  Bout bloody time, cant beleive we've had to wait 4 and a half years for a UK tour while the yanks seem to get them every summer!  Obv I went to Twickenham in between and Im sure other folk went to Download.... but I have to say Maiden have SEVERELY neglected their original UK fans these past few years, and Im delighted theyre trying to put it right!  Hopefully Im gonna try to make it down to the O2 for last night of the tour, will have to fight for tickets tomorro!

Agreed, I have also got my tickets for Cardiff and yet the Yanks are moaning because they won't get this tour, the thing is They make alot of money playing the USA, and every next tour could be there last, they may just break even playing Britain and I am so chuffed they are touring the UK on the back of a great album again, can't wait to hear Final Frontier, Eldorado, Coming Home and hopefully The Talisman and When The Wild Wind Blows licve, actually I will be happy if they play the whole album live!!

True, but it's been 4 years. They didn't wait that long to release DVD's from other tours.

They released a DVD in 2008, and one in 2009, and they've got another planned to record this spring.  It's not an issue of when they're recorded, it's an issue of when they're released.
