It’s still an overall elimination game. So, in theory, if enough songs from an album (more than 3) don’t get too many votes they can make it through to the final rounds.
 
I guess that's the fun of this game: killing your darlings. I voted for ROTAM this time but it´s quite possible I would have voted for Moonchild or CIPWM instead.
I try to "save" my personal favourites (Powerslave and Infinite Dreams in this round)as long as possible though.
 
These results are abysmal, my favourites keep getting knocked out one round before promotions!
Aces High, and everything from SSOASS that isn't Moonchild, the title track or OTGDY.

Yeah, especially with Maiden I’m not opposed to the game moving quickly, but I believe there’s a direct correlation between how fast we’re moving and the publishing of how many votes we get each round.

Very pleasing to see No Prayer for the Dying, Public Enema, and Fates Warning with so few votes thus far. Those are some real bangers.
 
If I were to vote solely based on song ratings I’d have to vote against every NPFTD song, because they’re all worse than the remaining golden era songs. But since that’s just an artifact of how the game is structured, I’m going to give the best songs on NPFTD a chance (Tailgunner, Fates Warning, Run Silent Run Deep) and just vote against the other 7.

The easy votes were Smoke, Public and Hooks. I voted for the 1990 closer only because it feels incomplete and lacks another verse or chorus (everything is great, especially the instrumental section) - the song should have been 7 minutes long imo, a missed opportunity.

I only voted for NPFTD songs, but the album is still underrated. And the rest of the songs are some of Maiden's very best. Songs like Fates and Assassin are with not so good choruses, but riffs/melodies/solos/instrumental parts are great. The title track is a classic (the most liked song from the album) and Daughter is great too. Tailgunner and Run Silent are good Maiden songs that could easily be the lesser songs on some of the 80's albums.
