Both are great songs, but I prefer Hallowed.  Rime gets my vote.

Hey, hey, last time it nearly lost. There was a tie at the last moment. If Perun wouldn't have voted, Rime would have been the winner.

No.

There are other bands with clear #1 songs. Resurrection and Stargazer both won easily. Just being a clear favorite doesn't mean we leave the song out.

In my opinion, Hallowed is great from start to finish, but the section beginning with "then down in falls comes the rain" in Rime is one of the most orgasmic culminations in all of musicdom.  Therefore, Hallowed gets my vote.  Next survivor, I'll try to get into the fray earlier.

The top ten is similar to last year; I'm glad to see a Blaze song made it this time. Paschendale is three spots too low, but otherwise it's a good top ten.

The final tally: 1583 voters over 65 rounds, smashing the previous record (566 voters in Bruce 2010).

I'd have preferred to have dropped Aces High and BTaTS for SSoaSS and Caught Somewhere in Time (my #1 song). Glad to see a Blaze song make it to the top 10 (even if I do slightly prefer Sign of the Cross to The Clansman). That said, 6/10 of my top 10 made it (with the top 3 being my #4, #3 and #2 respectively). Overall, the top 10 isn't too shabby at all.
 
There's many tracks I wouldn't put there. I prefer the previous top 10, not only because of Rime's higher position, but I happen to find Brave New World and Ghost of the Navigator better than The Clansman and Revelations (criminally overrated).

Just my 2 cents, don't get angry.  :D

How many Iron Maiden survivors we had before this one? Just the 2009 one or we had more before?

Would've loved to have seen a TFF song make the last 10 (WTWWB, TT or CH ideally), very glad a 90's song made it. Next time SSoaSS and SotC will be repping the top 10 :p

Most importantly, Hallowed won. YAY!
