If one song from NotB gets eliminated, the remaining two move on to the next round?
If two songs from PoM gets eliminated, the remaining two move on to the next round?
If three songs from SiT gets eliminated, the remaining two move on to the next round?

Mind your, there is not a single song in this list that I would hesitate calling a real classic. I love all of them. The less memorable songs from these albums are all eliminated already ...

Yes, but not all at the same time. :bigsmile:

Let's consider the rules, and the implications for this round...

Remember, I'd normally remove two songs. But if songs get promoted, it changes things.
If any song from NOTB goes out, the other two get promoted, and we go to the next round. This is what I'm aiming for: save Number and Children for the end.

Possible outcomes:
A POM/SIT song wins, and a NOTB song is #2. Both go out, 2 NOTB songs get promoted, and we have 8 songs left - triggering the entry of 7th Son.
-or-
Any NOTB song wins. The other two get saved and 7th Son enters. The #2 song does not matter; it can no longer be removed, since the poll is 9 songs after the NOTB promotion.

There are other possible outcomes, but these seem most likely. Right now, it's looking like Prisoner will go out, but there's still over 24 hours to go.


Also: in the event of a tie, average votes per round is the tiebreaker. The current tiebreak order for NOTB songs: Prisoner, Number, Children. So Prisoner only has to tie for 1st, and it will go out.

I am really surprised at the love for Lonliness of the Long Distance Runner. Is this song really better than The Trooper, Number of the Beast and The Prisoner? I get that some of these songs have appeared on too many live albums, but come on. Without those songs (Trooper and NOTB) Iron Maiden does not exist today.
