There was some difficult decisions for me here, particularly Stranger In A Strange Land vs Ghost Of The Navigator.... Wicker Man, Strange World, and The Trooper were easy decisions though.

Voting for Strange World over For The Greater Good Of God was the easiest decision of the lot for me. I've never held the latter in as high esteem as most other Maiden fans seem to. It's a good song, but for me, it's always easily been the worst track on AMOLAD. Strange World on the other hand, is to me, very underrated, and I love it's hypnotic and serene vibe.

I used to really dislike FTGGOG. It used to be the only song I didn't like off of AMOLAD. And then I started reading the book Slaughterhouse-Five and I like to listen to music when I read, so I listened to AMOLAD while I was reading, and it just all clicked. Yes, it's beyond repetitive to a fault, but the lyrics are masterfully written, Bruce's vocals are extraordinary, and the solos are heartwrenching. It's dynamic. That cool little breakdown after the "For the greater good of God" stuff sounds symphonic (reminiscent of Paschendale), and the drums sound like shots fired.

I believe FTGGOG is Bruce's second-best vocal performance since he returned to Iron Maiden (the first being The Thin Line). He just sings with so much passion in this song, his plays with the phrasing in several places, you can just feel his emotion. Even though I mentioned the exquisite lyrics and the solos and the dynamics, it's Bruce's vocals that really sell the song, to be honest.

No, the 3 worst songs in today's poll are Starblind, FTGGOG, and Futureal.

As for Moonchild being the most overrated song around here, I'd only agree with that if most here thought it was Maiden's best ever song... which probably isn't the case. Starblind and FTGGOG are way more overrated than Moonchild.

About FTGGOG, it is possible that the song just hasn't "clicked" with me yet, though it's more likely that it won't. It is very repetitive, and nothing about the song grabs me, unlike the other songs on AMOLAD...

I would say the most overrated song is Powerslave. I like the song, but beating Sign of the Cross? Really?

The only songs I don't care for in today's poll are Die With Your Boots On (a song I've never cared for, to be honest) and The Trooper (great tune, but not on par with the other tunes).
