H's solo on Quest For Fire is the high point of that song, but better than his Boots... solo? No way! lol :p

As for Die With Your Boots On, I love the tension and the build of the fun but macabre pre-chorus, and the solos and harmony section is one my fave sections of any Maiden song. H's solo in Boots... is one of his finest solos in my opinion.

I absolutely agree. Especially the harmony between solos (the same one before Bruce goes "they've died with their boots on") is one of my favorite Maiden moments of all time.

The one good thing about Die With Your Boots On is that it always reminds me of this video, which makes me laugh every single time:

4:54

Rewatching that video, though, the solo section really is spectacular. If only I liked the rest of the song. I do like Bruce's vocals on the, "They diiiiiiie with their boots oooonnnnn, yes they diiieeeeeeee," bit. I suppose the song just never clicked with me.

That harmony is awesome, as is the tense lead up to H's solo when Bruce sings "They've died with their boots on...", where the high part of the harmony stops, but the low part of it (played by H I think) continues to play behind Bruce's vocals. The whole section is just pure magic!

Damn, I didn't manage to vote here. I would have voted for The Longest Day and it would have scored the same as The Rainmaker. It is one of my all-time favourites.

Wow, some excellent match-ups in this one.
@Foro: The Wrathchild thing was mostly about numbers. 144 is a nice round number to work a tournament with, 145 is not.
My other consideration was dumping Virus.
