You can't really judge a song's popularity by one head-to-head duel. Remember there are many posters who enjoy The Longest Day much more than you do. So far, The Talisman has been beaten by Starblind, and it has beaten Out Of The Shadows.

PS: I think that choice was hard, as was the choice between Only The Good Die Young (which has always been one of my favourites) and Sea of Madness (which I appreciate much more now than when I first heard it).
