Iron Maiden Billboard Numbers

Final Frontier was at 460,000 in 2011 (not including USA sales) I imagine the total is much bigger considering they played to 2 million people on the supporting tour

I doubt it. I always thought the lack of sales was the reason why they haven't had a new album in four years. It's just not profitable anymore to produce a new album, while history tours have proven to be a cash cow.

New York Times said Rod announced that more than 800,000 copies were shipped out in 2010 to retailers..... Some 65,000 were bought in the states alone in the first week which put them so high on the charts....

I agree with Perun. While I have no doubt that they break even and earn a bit of money still, it isn't very profitable compared to touring.

I was remarking on the fact that you hold something that happened in 1993 to still be relevant and up-to-date. And seeing how your posts always seem to revolve around anything that happened after 1993 to be irrelevant, I find them pretty lame and uninteresting.

Strange you like replying to me then. And not true, i like BNW.

My replies to you can be counted on one hand, don't flatter yourself.

Update on some sales....

Final Frontier at 523,000 reported sales
A Matter of Life and Death at 1,085,000 reported sales

Not a shock that numbers have gone down with each new year in the internet age.

Comparatively, I'd be interested in seeing Maiden concert attendance numbers by year world-wide.
