Iron Maiden 180g Black Vinyl Reissues

I've heard that complaint from others, as well. The box is too small. See here.
Ridiculous! UK edition on the left, American edition on the right:

Ai, this doesn't sound good, digitalkettle. I hope you'll be able to do something about it. I haven't bought any of these releases myself but I could take a look at the FC forum for you (or are you a member yourself?), to see what people are saying out there.

@bearfan @Cornfed Hick (or other members?): Did or will you collect these items?

Not planning on it, I already have the originals. If they were to release X-Factor to TFF I would get them as they are all picture discs and do not sound as good/skip easier than black vinyl.

Well, that's the problem. If inferior products are bought, there will be nothing done to improve them.

Hi, this was the first thread I found on the subject so I joined up...haven't checked the FC forum.

I haven't seen the LotLDR issue mentioned anywhere!

I have the so called "red box" with the first 3 albums and will get the others in new shrink wrap for collecting. I have the originals that I actually use and the picture disc ones from a few years ago. I will definitely be getting the 7" singles though. I WANT them :) for display of course.

Just made a different thread but might as well post it on here too. On the Piece of Mind reissue (I'm in the USA btw) it seems like the entire album EQ is just slightly shifted to the right. It's not not terribly much but definitely noticeable, and for sure bothers me the way it favors the right side. I tested my suspicion through the USB function on my Audio Technica AT LP60, and sure enough the right channel is just slightly beefier than the left one. Looks like I'll be forking over even more cash to get an original '83 pressing of it :/ Gosh guys I've seen a whole bunch of complaints on this whole set, was it really that hard to get it right? LAD, SiT and 7th Son are coming in the mail, and I'm hoping for no dissapointments.

^ I had no disappointments with the first three and have the original pressing for the following albums but I may go out for the others new to get the box set complete

They were louder for sure. I just meant there were no issues in the actual pressing of it. I heard one of the newer pressings of other albums and it just seems like "remastering" just means "louder and less individual instruments can be heard"

Once again, opposite for me. The newer pressings, all of them, tended to be quieter than the originals. I in fact bought both the original and new pressing of NOTB, and the remastered both sounded quieter and in terms of sound quality wasn't as "punchy" as the original. (I'm sticking with the original US pressings of IM/Killers because they include Sanctuary/Twilight Zone respectively)

For that, it wasn't just me, I heard two other people on Youtube (one from Mexico, the other from the UK) say the same thing. But yeah, I really expected better quality control from Iron Maiden, giving them my hard earned money (after all I just turned 20), and I'd expect a quality product.

Just listened to the Powerslave reissue, no complaints there. Except maybe the cover feels a bit flimsy, but maybe that's just a nitpick.
