Ancient Mariner
I found an interesting song the other day. The song is off the album the Universal Migrator by Ayreon. It's a sort of prog-metal album that's based off a lot of sci-fi. I downloaded the song by accident (it SAID it was For the Greater Good of God) and for a while I thought it was Maiden. But when synth solos started kicking in, I new I must be wrong.
Turns out it's called "Into the Black Hole", with Bruce on vocals. It still sounds very similar to Iron Maiden, but with heavier guitars and Dream Theateresque keyboards. It's quite good, and I suggest you give it a listen. Slow going for the first 2 minutes or so, but it really gets going later on (it's a 10 minute song.)
