You got my congrats as well Urizen ! :-)

I was hoping for a German gig or another close one, but of course I'm happy for the people who didn't see Maiden in their area since 1986!   :)

Here the text from the Hasse78 link:

IRON MAIDEN has confirmed that further to last week's announcement of an additional show in Athens, they will play a headline concert in Belgrade, Serbia on Wednesday, March 14 as part of a short run of dates in mid-March. The venue is the 18,000-capacity Belgrade Fair Indoor Arena and tickets for the show will be going on sale on Wednesday, January 24.

Commented MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris: "I'm pretty sure in saying that this will be the first time we've been to Belgrade for just over 20 years back on the 'Somewhere in Time' tour so I'm sure many of our fans in Serbia will be very excited at the news that we're making this visit that some would say is long overdue! As we said a couple of years ago we would try and visit new places and cities where we haven't played for a long time when the opportunity to do so came up and this is just such an occasion. And we are very much looking forward to it."

It´s also seems that Bruce air Dubai is cancelled, and changed to a trip to Beograd insteed.

Maybe it´s already been mentioned before.

Afraid of terrorists, anyone ?

Who? Old Bruce? Naah, he would've shot 'em down, and he carries his saber wherever he goes too.

A little off topic, I've just read in this months 'National Geographic' magazine about Dubai. It is very impressive, all those artificial islands and the achievements they've made in terms of finances and luxury, but then I've read that they have workers who work for 5 dolars a day.

Right now we have the info about 3 out of 4 shows!

(according to the official site it will be 4  --> 11/01/2007Maiden to play Greece in March - Iron Maiden have confirmed that they will be playing a headline show in Athens on Sunday March 11th 2007 as part of a short run of dates in mid March which include Dubai Desert Rock Festival and two more shows soon to be announced on ironmaiden.com. ---> announcement no. 3 is Belgrade)

09/03/2007 Dubai Desert Rock Festival
11/03/2007 GREECE - Athens, Faliro Pavilion Indoor Arena
14/03/2007 SERBIA - Belgrade, Fair Indoor Arena

What about the show of upcoming announcement 4?
Where will it be?

Place your bets !

Hey, I had wishful thinking about Belgrade. I guess. And it happened. :yey:

But I still think it's gonna be Moscow, 'cause Vienna is to close to Belgrade. They probably wish to cover a large area with this mini tour.

The UAE will soon have the tallest building and the biggest enclosed shopping centre.  Naturally, they want to have the biggest concert with the biggest band.  ;)

And they have good taste for music, don't they. I've heard that building will be around 700+ metars tall.

There are some news that Maiden might be playing in Holland in June. As for the 4th show in March what about India?

Can't believe my eyes! I shouldn't be too excited since it's not conformed yet... but holy shit if it were true !

In other MAIDEN-related news, DNAIndia.com reports that Bruce Dickinson and company will play at least one show (Bangalore) in India later this year. A "battle of the bands" has been launched to give one local act an opportunity to open the concert, which is being organized by Venkat Vardhan of DNA Networks.
