Right, this is time for some explanations here.

There seems to have been a little riot on the forum over the past 24 hours or so. Let's hope things will go back to normal after we've discussed the problem.

The problem was that a particular thread was getting more and more annoying, and not just to me. One day I was in a foul mood, I decided to clean it up and I posted also my thoughts about the whole thing. I deliberately made these posts quite provocative and offending, as a natural reaction to the stupidity -- as it appeared to me -- of the posts that were found there. I could have written even worse, but I thought that I'd gone enough over the top.

Now, some people have left the forum in protest of my action. This is maybe a case of natural selection and I doubt that they will be missed. With the exception of Shaman -- whom I quite liked and respected -- the others were simply a bunch of forum polluters who can take their wrath over the the official BB and whine all they want over there. I don't care.

All offending posts and topics have been deleted. I now hope that the dust will settle over here and that the forum will resume its usual duty of exchange of ideas and of nice madness as can be seen on the Ancient Mariner's forum.

Hmm ... as someone who contributed an incendiary post to the riotous thread in question, I hereby formally, and with utmost sincerity, apologize for any contribution I may have made towards Shaman's departure. He will be sorely missed, and I hope he returns.

I personally find it slightly upsetting that these threads and posts were deleted rather than moved to the monkey forum as I requested admins and moderators do. This way if there is any "discussion" over the removal of the thread/post in question it could be returned and matters set straight. Although I did not read the photo topic, I feel the best way to handle it would be to split the spam topics from the sensible ones and put the spam ones in a new topic in madness forum.
Some semblance of order needs to be established as I am not happy with what has happened here the last few days

If you are called a lot of stuff behind your back when you not present here, and from a person that you only has talked to in one post, would you not be angry?

And when you confronts that person, and he/she refuses to answer. Does that not make you even more angry?

I can understand that you're angry, but as i've seen it some people who has not been called things or in another way been insulted reacted very much. And as i understood it, the "Maidens hottest moments"-incident triggered it all...

I think you can stop accusing him now... as far as i know you've not been personaly insulted but you've posted a lot of crap and destroyed the board for us others!
 
As for the MHM thread I can understand that it might have been a bit heavy for the server to bear and if it hade been removed for that reson or been split up I would have respected that. But to change the subject and editing every post that the involved partys hade made, was not something that we hade asked for. If we even had an email telling us what was about to happend it might even hade been understandable. But editing all our post, changing the subject name and giving us a lot of critisism for our actions is not decent behaviour.

Some of the photos in that thread was from our own personal ones collections but the large part of it was found on the net over a long time. If Maverick liked to have an archive or anything else of that type he could spend as much time as we did on the net to find them.

Next time it might be your thread that is to be changed, and it is your statements that are being manipulated. It happened to me... can you be sure it will not happen to you?
