I have to confess the only pre-Owens Iced Earth albums that I own are Alive in Athens and Night of the Stormrider, so these songs aren't really in their album contexts.  But I went for Angels Holocaust, Dark Saga, and The Hunter

The Dark Saga, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and Horror Show are "the big three" of Iced Earth albums. You must fix this.

Angels Holocaust, I Died for You, Slave to The Dark.

Dark Saga, Night of the Stormrider and SWTWC are the big 3, imo. Although, AiA covers almost all of the best stuff. I haven't got anything beyond Horror Show though and I've only listened to Gettyburg a couple of times. How's the rest of TGB and the SW albums?

TGB has some good songs, but some real stinkers. I don't like the SW albums so much. The first one has some good songs, but gets bad fast, and the 2nd one is no better (written for Ripper's vocals, sung by Matt...no dice.)

I do love Horror Show.

I have Horror Show as MP3s, though to be honest there's only a few songs I really like on there.

I was the same way for awhile - Damien's pretty good, TPOG is awesome, but I listened to it again about 6 months ago and it clicked.
