I hate VH1 Classic

THey were supposed to play "classic Albums" NOTB and then follow with Rock in Rio last night. I set up Tivo to save...what do I get? Classic albums "the black album" and then SOme kind of Monster....I guess they were trying to trick IM fans into watching the 3 hour promo of old Metallica to promote the new album. Although any mention of St Anger makes me realize how scared I am to buy this new one!

LOL, programming gets screw up all the time, it's happened to me to, you should get the new album though, NOTHING like St. A. Give it a listen online first if you have reservations.

I did pick it up. I do like it better than St. Anger. But less than EVERY Maiden album there is (had to get us back on a Maiden topic).

Funny you should mention.....tonight i was supposed to sit down and watch Rock in Rio on VH1 instead i had to settle for AC/DC - No Bull...

Funny story: my dvd box said it was Iron Maiden - Rock in Rio.  But it was AC/DC...

Children, calm down, I don't....

Oh, sorry, that's LC's line.

I don't get VH1 Classic, so I don't hafta worry about it.  I haven't seen the Rock in Rio dvd, is it pretty rockin?  ( I know, its Maiden, so its good, but is it better than DOTR?)

But not the guitar sound.  Or at least not on the 2.0 version.  DOTR stereo sounds awesome, though.

RiR 5.1 is fucking amazing.  Seriously.  I was in the same boat - I loved RiR but always thought it was a little flat - till I got my 5.1 system.

Really?  I thought it was rather weak.  I couldn't hear much of a difference.  DOTR 5.1 on the other hand is pretty cool*.

*I realize that there are known issued with the 5.1 disc,  but I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. :smartarse:

5.1 gives the audience behind you, like you're really there. You can't beat that with a normal audio CD.

So either your external either your internal (=your hearing) stereo set is not working.

My 5.1 works fine on DOTR, and it is a great mix as well.  I really think that Caveman tried to mix RiR for like...3.75 or something.  But it sounds much better, to my ears, on 5.1 than on stereo.

That's very funny  <_<.
