How stupid is your country?

By the way, the situation in Germany is exactly the same as in The Netherlands (complete with the coma drinking kids), except that since two or three years, kids can aquire the driver's licence at 17 (although an adult has to drive with the kid till he's 18).

This seems to be a bit different from the Netherlands(?):

Germany age of consent:
Male-Female Sex: 14/16
Male-Male Sex: 14/16
Female-Female Sex: 14/16

In Germany, sexual intercourse is legal from the age of 14 provided the older partner is aged under 18 and provided they are not "exploiting a coercive situation" or offering compensation. In addition, sex between one partner aged 14-15 and another aged under 21 is legal unless the older partner "exploits the victim's lack of capacity for sexual self-determination".

I did, but I haven't had the time to read it yet. I'll do so as soon as possible, though.

Norway:

Sex: 16
Driving: 18
Military: 18 (mandatory, males)
Voting: 18
cigarettes: 18
Beer/vine/liquids with less than 20% alcohol: 18
20% +: 20

But this isn't where Norway's stupidity shines, it's in all the nutty laws that makes NO SENSE!!!

Like no eating Swedish meatballs during a full moon?
Or Not being allowed to wear Viking horns unless you have a third nipple?

Apparently the age of consent in Sweden is 15 for all types of sex.
Alcohol and cigarettes is 18. Well, I'm not entirely sure about the cigarettes bit, it may be that you're allowed to smoke younger than 18 but you're not allowed to purchase until you're 18.
Driving is probably 18.

And for anything else I have no idea.

Austria is pretty much the same as Germany. And Mexico...well...as Onhell said...suggestions. :p

Having said all this, I shall now go out and buy cigarettes, and alcohol and find me a nice gal to have sex with. ;)

I remember telling a friend of mine jokingly when I turned 18 that now I could purchase Playboy legally, and he responded with, "Now you can be put in prison too!" lol

No, IronDuke, by having 4 times as many laws as one needs in order to govern our everyday lives, all in the name of father socialist...

(and don't forget the taxes we pay today in order to rebuild the country after this terrible war... whats that..? WW II ended 60+ years ago..? Oh shit... well... uhm... lets not tell the public who already know that... this way, we, the politicians, can keep increasing our salaries to a ridicules level, and claim full pension after 4-8 years in parliament...)

And now, to all those who still believe in fairy tails:

The Vikings did NOT have horns on their helmets...

@ MisterAJ: I thought that all that oil money was being saved for future Norwegian generations.

EDIT: OR is that something that the government says to make the populace complacent.  I am judging by your tone it is the latter.

something like that...

I have yet to see a red cent, and the roads, hospitals, etc. is CRAP...

oil rich country's in the middle east give their students free housing AND scholarships when they attend University's, and consider it an investment in their country's youth...
Norway COULD afford doing the same thing, but the politicians don't WANT to invest in our youth... only them self...

p.s.: the Oil fund is being called the PENSION fund (already), meaning me and my children aren't the one's it's intended for: it's my parents generation...
