Hi people,

I am curious how many different Iron Maiden live songs (so no intro's on tape) you all have witnessed at an Iron Maiden concert (so no Dickinson, Blaze, Di’Anno or whatever other (cover)band.)

Your answer, of course, depends on the gigs you’ve seen. It’s allowed to count the songs of the current tour if you’re planning to see them this year.

If you are too lazy to count, I am willing to help. PM me the gigs (places and tours), and I will help ! :--)

It would be extra cool if you would post the songs (or tours) you have seen.

@Perun: Yes indeed, it was, in the very same venue as where Maiden played last week. :)
I have seen all Maiden concerts in the Netherlands since the Fear of the Dark tour apart from the 1993 and 1996 ones. Translating this into songs, I missed Transylvania, which was performed in the 1993 tour.

I was 15 when I saw "Somewhere On Tour" - Feb 6, 1987.
And you are correct - I did not see them again until the BNW tour.

Wow, you go far back !

I guess something terrible, besides losing interest, must have happened, after that.

I am not forcing you (or anyone else) to speak about personal reasons on this forum, but I have to admit that I am shocked to find active users here, who saw Maiden aeons ago but at the same time did not experience new concerts.

Sometimes, people just drift away...and come back.  While my mindset now is that, If I had had the chance to see Maiden from BNW tour onwards, I would've killed to do so, it may not have turned out that way.  Still, History Tour Pt 2. will be the one for me...I pray to H that they open with Moonchild (okay, they'll do Aces High, no doubt...but please, open the encore with it, or something!)....
 
Well, I can't remember the exact songs but the tours are:

June 3d, 1983 - World Piece tour - Scandinavium, Gothenburg
Nov 3d, 1984 - World Slavery tour - Scandinavium, Gothenburg
Jul 9th, 2005 - Early days tour - Ullevi, Gothenburg
Nov 20th - Live after death tour - Scandinavium, Gothenburg

Hmm, there seems to be a pattern emerging here. Always in Gothenburg :) I really can't remember all the songs but there's quite a lot of them. It's fun to relive your teenage years 20+ years after, as well :D

Good music never goes out of style :halo:

For me, it was not about drifting away, loosing interest or indeed something terrible happening - it was down mainly to lack of time and/or money. However, I missed the Donington 1988 as I was stuck in Corfu. I was trying to work the summer there - I had every intention of coming back for this gig, but could not afford to get of the island - and when I did get home, it was too late.

I was hoping to rectify this with the coming tour, but something else has come up on the London dates. :(

In order to explain why I didn't go to any previous gigs (I know nobody cares :P): In 2000, I was simply not aware of the fact that they were out touring, I had different things on my mind. In 2003, during GMETID, again, I wasn't aware that they were touring- during DOD, I had to choose between Maiden and Deep Purple (money issues). I don't know if I'd choose Purple again, but I don't regret my choice. Finally, in 2005, it was completely because of the money. I had really hoped to go and see them, but in the end, I simply couldn't afford it.

You're right,  we don't  :P.  As for me,  I saw Maiden in Greece last year,  and I'll be seeing them in Dortmund too.  I'm not in the mood for counting though  :innocent:

(you're the same as Conor, who saw the 17 songs from Early Days, and will see the 15 from the AMOLAD tour, minus the two songs from TED that are on the setlist for AMOLAD
 
Just in case, Albie (and maybe some others) I didn't mean to offend or judge people who haven't seen Maiden in ages.

I was only amazed (not thinking well of probable reasons) but naturally I won't think worse of you because of these events !
