Happy Holidays

Infinite Dreamer
Well guys, Some of you have finished school others, like me, are in the last few weeks and some of you actually have real jobs. Whatever the case Christmas break is coming up So Happy Holidays to all whether you are a Christian or a Jew or an Athiest because even you have something to thank "God" hehe for. You have to thank him for all the crazy people that believe in him because if not you wouldn't have a two to a month long break in December. I'm also taking this opportunity to say "see you later" as I am going to Mexico for three weeks to visit family and I will most likely not have access to internet (not because we are technologically backward but I'm going to be too busy smoking pot and doing other stuff i'm not supposed to). I don't leave until thursday but I'm working on my finals so I might not have time later on this week to say proper good-byes. So I hope all of you read my research paper on the Cathars I posted on the Montsegur thread (shameless self-promotion? YOU BET) and have a safe and cool break. See you guys in January!

Hah, have fun in Mexico. [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Meanwhile, I'll be...staying home, and going to my cousins' suburban place for Christmas day. Kind of stinks, but I guess it's a necessity. Aside from that, though, I get two weeks off of school, which works for me any time of the year.

See ya. [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

I'll be going to Arizona and then Las Vegas to visit family and friends this Christmas break. It'll be the first time I've done so, actually. I've always stayed in this hell hole called Minnesota (yeah, during winter). Luckily I began school only in late August so my classes are all easy and I've got nothing I need to do. So I'm sitting here. Hanging out. Cranking some tunes. Playing guitar... ANYWAYS, have a nice vacation in Mexico. I'm probably going to Mexico for spring break again this year.

I live in Tucson Arizona and let me tell you it is NICE. 75 degree weather...in WINTER! sweet.

Au reviour, my Mexican friend. Beware of Subcommandante Marcos and the return of Carlos Salinas!

I have a real job, and I'm a student too!

It's called an apprenticeship! [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Happy Hols Mate! Get festively fat and drunk!

I read that too fast the first time, and thought you said "beware the return of Carlos Santana."

D'OH!

(Although, if he keeps on putting out lousy albums like "Shaman", maybe you should beware the return of Carlos Santana!)

Anyway, a Happy Holidays to all. I myself will be traveling around during the next few weeks as well, to Florida and Switzerland. I expect I will be able to log on to the forum from time to time, but not as consistently as usual. So have a great Hanukwanzamas / Solstice / New Year or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate!

115 degrees in summer. Not so nice. [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/lol[1].gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'lol[1].gif\' /][!--endemo--] But it would be better than freezing my ass off here.

According to weather.com, the average summer temp in Phoenix is 100-105 degrees, not 115. Those 10 degrees are a HUGE difference. Plus, you know the old phrase, "It's not the heat - it's the humidity." That's quite true. 105 degrees in a dry climate is not as bad as it sounds - it's better than 90 degrees in a humid climate. Sure it's hot, but it's not so hard to deal with. The main danger is dehydration. When you sweat, it will evaporate off your skin so fast that you may not realize how much water you're losing. But if you drink plenty of water and use a strong sunscreen, 105 is a walk in the park compared to Midwest summers.

Well i leave in Two hours! woohoo. Once again have fun and enjoy your breaks! And yes the AVERAGE heat is 105 but we have those crazy days where we've reached 120. But after being here four years I don't feel it anymore and like SMX says I'll take that over an 85-90 day in florida anytime!

Yeah, my cousin who lives there told me it's usually around 100-105 but he used to live here and the first day he got to Arizona it was 115. The point is: It CAN get that hot. [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--] All this talk about weather is really making me want to get the hell out of Minnesota already. I've still got another week before my trip. *Sigh* [!--emo&:(--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Just can't help but feeling that something is missing......
Usually we have about 50 cm of snow by now, but outside it's raining, and not a spot of snow to see. I generally hate winter, but christmas isn't the same without. BUt anyway: Merry Xmas everyone!

*NP: White Christmas*

Who me? Yes you. Couldn't be. Then who?

Sorry for the stupidity. [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--] But I would leave Minnesota just to get away from snow actually. Here's why:

-You have to shovel it.
-It gets you soaked if you step in it.

Most of all, though, it's because you have to drive in it. That in itself leads to further sub-reasons to hate snow:

-You can't drive a RWD car.
-Chrome rims will get ruined.
-You have to drive like an old man to avoid crashing.

Therefore, snow is evil and Minnesota blows.

Snow is awesome:

1. Your crazy beareded friend can't jump 20 feet face first into snowdrifts without it.
2. Without snow there'd be no skiing.
3. Without skiing Finland would be part of Russia.
4. Snowforts!
5. That stupid French snowman wouldn't exist.
6. Cold chicks like to be warmed up. Nuff said.

Hot chicks like to cool down...by wearing less clothes. [!--emo&B)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/cool.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'cool.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

WHAT NOW PUNK?!!?!!?!?!!

[!--emo&:P--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Though yes, skiing is indeed cool. But hell, I can always water ski.

Hmmm. Let me get this straight. It appears that SIASL is looking for a beating. Why? Because he called my buddy LC a punk. Now, on most weeks of the year, I'd be willing to let it slide. But I'm a hardcore Cheesehead and SIASL is from Minnesota, and this is Packers-Vikings week. This week of all weeks, I can abide no Minnesotans acting uppity. So I'm forced to rip SIASL's argument apart. If you, dear reader, have a weak constitution, then you should turn aside now.

Warming up cold ladies is infinitely better than watching hot chicks take their clothes off because it involves actual physical contact. While SIASL posts about watching hot chicks he'll never touch, the Cheeseheads and Canadians will be busy warming up real live women. We also don't fall apart after things are halfway done, the way the Vikings always choke in the second half of the season.

Remember, the above hostility is brought to you by pointlessly insane NFL partisanship. Next week, I'll return to treating SIASL like a human being - and start hating Chicagoans.
