Happy birthday Spinal Tap!

I've been away attending to some personal matters and have'nt been around as much. Thanks for the birthday wishes, and don't worry about forgetting as I pretty much forgot myself this year with all the shit I had to deal with this summer LOL. :P

Three years ago we sold our home and tried to help my wife's parents save theirs. After I paid my house note I put the balance in an account and set it aside. My Father in Law refinanced his housed,  he increased his payments by 50%. He also purchased a new tractor for another $1600 payment. My Mother inlaw then took out an auto loan to buy a custom Ford Sherrod conversion van for another $600 a month. Plus a $25,000 pool. You get the picture of where this is headed. My mother in law quit her job, and my father in law who was "struggling", decides to quit a few months later.  Their house finally went into foreclosure, even after we put off our end of summer vacation to Disney World and hired a lawyer for them to get their mortgage modified. We begged them to go back to work. My father in law had the balls  to tell us "he was a victim of the recession." They also tried to get me to assume the mortgage and title the house in my name. They also tired to get me to fork over the money I got from  the sale of my home. Make a long story short, we decided to move and go buy another place. It did'nt go over too well with my in laws because they accused us of leaving them in a mess. It was really hard because I loved my in laws like my own parents and to have them not only take advantage of our good nature, but also blame us for the mess has really pissed me off to no end, but it has sent my wife into a depression. But I think the worse is behind us now so thanks again for the good wishes. :D

I'm going through something similar with my mom. She had to file for bankruptcy, and it was her own fault for mismanaging her finances. Fortunately she is still working, but she blames her problem on the mortgage company... riiiiight. Oh well. Glad to hear you guys are on the way out.

my car got broken into. The funny thing is, my backpack (which also had four books, dirty socks and pijama bottoms aside from the laptop) was the last thing I thought of when I realized someone had gone through my car. "My cds!" was the first lol, fortunately they didn't take any, I guess they weren't metal heads.

That's what cracks me up about them taking my computer. It is useless unless they no my password and once inside all there is on it is 30 gigs of Metal LOL.

The books really pissed me off though, two of them were my spiritual advisor's.... grrr

They didn't take your CD's and you can make up your own advices now, without reading dogmatic books. ;)

But I guess this isn't a funny remark (anymore).

I hope such a theft won't happen again.

Well, not "ha ha" funny :p The books were not dogmatic at all. quite the opposite. I'm in the process of becoming a Jesuit, not a Franciscan. Thought and questioning are encouraged, not supressed.
