I just wanted to quickly introduce myself to everyone here; My name is Todd Mark Rubenstein. I lead some of the world's greatest orchestral musicians in recording cool new Symphonic, orchestral and string quartet Albums.

I just finished producing an album that would be of some interest here; "The Hand Of Doom Orchestra Plays Iron Maiden's Piece Of Mind" ...

You can go to my MySpace and listen to a track from the album there:

The album officially releases on September 19th, 2006 on Vitamin records and it is well worth  having in your collection if you are as much a diehard fan of IM as I!

Thanks in advance for your support!

listening to To Tame A Land on your myspace site. Sounds pretty cool.
Yet another unusual tribute by Vitamin records. Gotta love it ;)

This is my 37th album for them... I love having the opportunity to do what I love doing ... :)

I forgot to mention that the CD can be pre-ordered at my website www.tmrpro.com where you will receive it a few days before the stores...

Thanks!

Todd

It's got the same enjoyment factor as Thingfish's covers.

To Tame A Land is brilliantly done.

I hate Nickleback, but I couldn't help listening to the cover of "How You Remind Me".

Thanks so much...

I'm really excited about this CD... and I'll share a little story with you;

When I was a young man and this album came out, my garage band "Megaton" (which I played lead guitar in) loved Piece Of Mind so much, that we covered the whole album as one of our sets.

Needless to say, I was thrilled when the opportunity arose for me to do this album. I feel that the rest of the album is very strong as well. I used the very best talent to do this project. I hope it is well received by those who love IM, because I spared no expense to make this album right.

Thanks again!

It sounds superb, thestringtributer. I hope you don't mind but I've put some threads pointing to your sites at a couple of other Maiden bulletin boards including the Iron Maiden Online Club and have made sure to include the purchasing link to get as many people as possible to buy it :)

As Pineapple Hunter mentioned, I'm also doing covers of Maiden songs, although mine are acoustic ones just done by me and nowhere near the quality or skill of your ones! My goal is to re-record the entire Maiden oeuvre in acoustic versions. I've done 47 songs so far, so only about 105 to go!  You can hear them over at http://www.putfile.com/thingfishy

Listened to "To Tame a Land". Interesting, it does sound quite good done in this way. Good job.

thestringtributer, only 13 more albums to do!

Fair play till ye'.

Listening to 'To Tame a Land' now.  The orchestra works very well...I like the lead violin on the intro, and the main riff sounds very reminiscent of Holst or Hans Zimmer...good work! :ok:

I really liked to Tame A Land on myspace, but I don't think I'm going to pay almost $27 for one CD!
Shipping to Europe $10? this gotta be a joke.
I recently bought 2 Hayseed Dixie CD's, http://www.hayseed-dixie.com , and I had to pay $28, including shipping, wich was $4.

So why do you charge $10?

Its ridiculous ... my fulfillment center does that to me.

If you want to get the CD, I'll make a special provision for you to get the cost of the shipping down.

Just send me a private message and we'll work it out.

Thanks!

I've pointed this request/comment out to the head of the label .. hopefully they will repond, approprietly

If allowed, I am not that impressed.

No offence, but apart from the violin (I guess you play that one?), which instruments are played by real people and are no samples? Where are the names of the musicians?

Wow, try to listen to it with the original song playin too, it really gives the effect the band's playing with an orchesta XD

There are two violinists, David Davidson & Bobby Yang, Jim Hoke played flutes, clarinets, and saxophones, Elwood Thomas Whitten played basses and I played live percussion (snare, tympani, bass drum, cymbals and gong) cellos, violas and program/performed samples...

Just curious; what would impress you?
