Well, it seems Epiphones are not very popular here 
I have Epiphone Les Paul and I'm quite satisfied (maybe because I did not hold many other guitars , only tone knobs may require replacement. My fellow guitarist uses Epiphone SG with custom changes (added 23th, 24th fret if I recall correctly, and replaced pickups) and he is satisfied too. I'd like to have original Fender or Gibson, bud my wife will probably deny this
