I disagree with Dave's solo on FTGGOG being bad, I like it, especially the first part and think it fits the song very well. I also noticed when listening to just the solos and doing some notes for myself that I enjoy Daves solos on this record a lot more than I usually do, the one on TROBB have a nice flow and his contribution on TCDR is unusually melodic and fits the song really good.
Adrian's best is in different world as far as I'm concerned, it's just perfect, but most of his solos are great here.
Janick's solo in pilgrim is the one I like then most, and it's mainly because I like the scales in that one (and the song itself) a lot, it's a nice change in feeling from the regular Maiden ones.
I know I prefer my solos melodic and fitting to the rhythm of the song as opposed to a wilder style, generally, and think that Dave really goes that way a bit more on this record and it pleases me a lot.
