Any fans of Gloryhammer here?

I've been a fan of them for years now and seen them a few times. Always great fun live. Anyway they just announced sadly that lead vocalist Thomas Winkler is leaving which sucks as he was the heart and soul of the band imo.

Well, that's really interesting and sad. Winkler was the guy in a lot of ways, but I imagine the pandemic influenced this. He did have a day job, so I wonder.

I think they'll struggle to find a replacement as good as him in time for this tour.

I think Winkler's unique voice and presentation fits really strongly in, but I would be quite sure they can find someone else who can do it. He's not entirely unique, but it'll be...interesting.
 
Who are even all these people?

I think I got who Chris is, at least the racist comment wasn't made by him.

Yeah I got mixed up. After the N word one guy writes "Chrisssss" and I assumed he was addressing the prev comment. Either way none of them condemn it and don't come out of it looking very good.
 
Well, maybe the N word guy is the singer, and they just decided to let it slide in the chat, only to fire him via e-mail.
 
It looks like Daddy Crud (the one who made the racist comments) could be Chris Bowes. His profile picture in those screenshots has brown hair and a keytar. The other guy (if it's only one other guy) might be James Cartwright.

Nah I think Tom was the one that leaked it. It's a big coincidence that this leaks the day after he got sacked. He's not on the chat.
 
It seems that this chat is 3-4 yrs old. It is is really shitty move to leaked this chat after all these years.

Yes, but that is a closed chat of band members. If they dont like that they should kick this guy out or otherway it means that they are all supporting that kind ideology.

And now leaking this out as "revange porn" is not very good move.

Both sides for me are losers here.

Doesn't matter. They're public figures and therefore the fans have a right to know if they're closet racists or not. I've supported this band and spent money on them I otherwise wouldn't have had I known this. And that's not even including the sexual abuse allegations. Everyone has a right to know this so they can decide to support this band or not.

Comparing this to revenge porn is a bit silly. In reality it's a disgruntled former member exposing to the world what the band are really like.

Again, what the band did and said is far, far worse than leaking a private conversation.
 
Former member is exposing because he was kicked out, before that he was ok with that, so for me this is not some heroic move.

I will not stop listening to band after this, also I am still listening to IE after all, but that doesnt mean that I support that kind idea.
