Genesis Discography Discussion: From Genesis To Revelation (1969)

To be fair guys, there was a time when this forum seemed to be about nothing but Dream Theater.

It was just a coincidence, though. Survivors (album survivor, not a DT survivor) and discussions were already running and they happened to come together at the same time. It only lasted two days, too, IIRC. Just afterwards a new album was released by the band. It wasn't like someone coming out of nowhere to start discussions, survivors regarding them and posting stuff related to them everywhere.

Yeah, it still felt like that at the time.

Anyway, Stardust, mate: Go easy on the Genesis threads. You may have noticed the lack of topical replies to your threads, and there may be several reasons for that. One of them definitely is that Genesis is not as popular here as you may like. If you want to discuss the band, that's great! But keep it at one thread at a time for a start. Try to spark some discussion in the original Genesis thread and then see how it goes. If you can see that there is enthusiasm for the topic, then you can think about opening a thread like this. But not out of nowhere, please. As you can see, people seem to get annoyed by that.

Not only that, but our Dream Theater discussions had content and reason to them. Not to mention it wasn't one person forcing DT discussion on everybody, a good chunk of people were interested in discussing DT, what's the problem with that? The two situations are unrelated and bringing it up is pointless.

@Stardust Instead of telling us to talk about Genesis, try starting a discussion. Ask us (in the original Genesis thread) if we prefer the Phil or Peter, or what are favorite albums are, or wtf they were thinking when they made Calling All Stations. Those are just some examples.
