I wasn’t that keen on the Hansen & Friends album he did a while back, but I agree these snippets sound interesting.
I enjoy the Hansen & Friends album very much - but it seems like (at least from the snippets so far) this new solo project with his son will be more power metal than it, which from Kai I could listen to forever and I'm happy about. He shared another snippet, a song his son wrote called ''Triple Trouble'', and they both play solos. It has a bit of a WOJ/LOTF (music and vocals, love the classic harmony) vibe, right? I'm really excited for this album.

I love the excuses artists and promoters come up with when ticket sales have been a flop!

A statement from promoters AEG reads, "Inspired by the breakthrough success of his recent Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live, where advanced sound and immersive technology redefined the live experience, the July 2026 dates have been reconfigured to prioritise similar venues across the UK."

Hagar says: “After waiting 30 years to come back, we really wanted to get this right. Several factors pushed us toward revising this tour but after wrapping our Las Vegas residency last month at Dolby Live where the sound, the technology, and the more intimate size really lets us connect with the audiences, it was clear that we wanted to deliver an experience like that for our fans in England.

"When I heard our promoter was opening a similar tech-forward venue in London that really sealed the deal for me. Three nights, a fresh set every night, and I get to stay in London, one of my favourite cities in the world, for a week. That’s the Best of All Worlds!”

If any of the new dates fail to meet the tech-forward litmus test, then you’ll have an answer for sure. Still have some wiggle room on integrity until then.

There is definitely no doubt that the sound and technology are the main reasons for moving gigs from Manchester's 23,000 capacity AO Arena, Birmingham's 15,000+ capacity BP Pulse Live arena, the 13,500 capacity First Direct Arena in Leeds, and 20,000 capacity London's O2 Arena to Wolverhampton's Civic Hall (capacity 3,400), Manchester's 3,500 capacity O2 Apollo, and the 3,800-capacity British Airways ARC in London (3 nights).
