Viper, the brazilian heavy/power metal, in which Andre Matos (Angra, Shaman) was the first singer, announced today the passing of their bassist and former singer Pit Passarell. He was 56 years old and died from pancreas cancer this morning. RIP Pit, you was a great musician and human.


"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Pit Passarell today.

Surrounded by family and lifelong friends. A life full of light, love, joy, talent and courage. We will miss you very much and the longing will be infinite.

The wake will be today, Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Funeral Home, R. São Carlos do Pinhal, 376, Bela Vista, São Paulo, from 11am to 2pm.

Pit, our love for you will be eternal."

Apparently, I've read, the band is now going on a hiatus. Seems unfair to the other members. They have nothing to do with the siatuation and that Dave Grohl needs time to "earn back the trust of his family".

I love Jethro Tull. It's my 2nd favorite band after Maiden. I don't like Christmas and I didn't like this album neither.
