Thanks. I thought the first word from the baby was "mother" but I didn't recognise the woman as Mary. The Russian Orthodox depiction of her must be quite different to those I'm used to from Catholic Church, Church if Scotland etc.
 
It's Russian, and pretty dumb I think but I'll try.
Exclamations translate to "Mother of Christ" and "Jesus", correspondingly, and seem to express a state of shock and / or surprise.


For English usage it would possibly be "Mother of God" vs. "Jesus F. Christ" ;) Both properly denote state of shock in casual English. MoG is also a good old meme.
 
Funny there are three words that Croats use for a mother - mater, majka, and mati. Mater is the most formal sounding and it isn't used to denote a Holy Mother, the latter two are.
