This reminds me of my favourite Halloween ever. I was on the bus going to work, atop a double-decker. Everyone was in standard late fall business clothing. Professionals, civil servants, lawyers. The kind of people who ensure that government can work no-nonsense. Then a bright blue shark got on and sat at the front.
This is a really good idea. Although to be fair, re-enactors at large in public places tend to generate their own SEP (Somebody Else's Problem) field, which renders them invisible to muggles. I've even been walked into before by someone studiously ignoring me.
