Reminds me of the first time I ever heard of Pink Floyd. I thought that was the name of the singer and it was his band. Until I was told otherwise.

Needless to say it was when I was about 11 or something.

If you already knew of Alice Cooper then it's only fair I guess, I didn't start listening to music until I was about 15-16 but I remember the first time I heard School's Out when I was younger (no idea how old, but it was around enough in TV shows that I was probably about 8 or so) and was told it was Alice Cooper that I thought "Surely that's not a girl singing?"
