My main motivation for this action was Foro's post about how the forum might better be off without him. I felt the only way to safely prevent him from leaving was leaving myself. I felt that it was going way over the top, and it simply wasn't worth it. However, I did not consider this a permanent action, but just decided to take a time out and observe if things would cool down again- and they did, fortunately.
So I hope that I set some sort of symbol not to take things too seriously here and put too many emotions into it. I would like to mention that Foro and I talked earlier today, that there are no bad feelings between us whatsoever and that we are good friends, regardless of what happened.

So, thanks again everybody for your kind posts and finally: Welcome back, Mav!

While it might have been a short-circuit reaction, the fact that it wasn't intended to be long term shows your genius, yes genius. By you leaving you set a chain reaction that maybe even you didn't expect. Not only did the emotions die down, but I noticed posts across the board dropped, Mav dropped by and all of a sudden everyone loves each other... BRILLIANT

Enough to make you wonder if it's the real Maverick. He's not best known for creating unity around here.

Although he seems to have mellowed out during his sojourn in the Himalayas.

(Yes, that's where he was for the past year. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :innocent: )

Why does that remind me of a prank certain moderators of this forum played?  :bigsmile:  I trust no one around here anymore.

But if it really is Mav, then welcome back.
 
I can't think of a single moderator audacious, daring, brash, and indeed, handsome enough to do such a thing.

Not one.
 
Oh, don't you think it's suspicious that Perun disappeared at the same time as Mav reappeared?  And now he's supposedly "back"...  :P



And just in case any one takes me seriously: I'm joking.
 
Yes Invader, Yes. I tried to not take you seriously but it's like not seeing Peter Parker and Spiderman together isn't it. Hmmmmm  :ninja:

Judging by his post - the way it was worded, etc - that was the real Mav.
