For the next Maiden tour....

I heard a rumor that Bruce wants to perform the entire Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album on their next tour, and is trying to convince Steve to go along with it.

It's only a rumor... but it would go along well with the promotion of the (also rumored) Maiden England & Early Years Part 3 DVD.

Which Maiden fans wouldn't totally eat that up?   :edmetal:

I saw somewhere Rod Smallwood saying that the will make an maiden England DVD,so if that is real that would be a dream come true,as  my adolescence b.s.o was the iron maiden albums from 1988 -1998 so if the play song from that period i would be more than happy.

Personally I would love it! - Not heard anything about an Early Years Part 3 (was wondering what had happened to that) are there anything definite plans for it or will they tack onto the Live DVD of the current tour that Metal Hammer reckon is in the pipeline?

The time between the Early Years vol 1 and vol 2 was quite a while so I wouldn't expect it on any package with the current tour. This will surely be a stand-alone document of the Final Frontier tour. I'm sticking my neck out and saying vol 3 will be Maiden England with the extras being some Donington 88 footage and the obligatory documentary. What I'd hope for would be some live footage from the Somewhere In Time tour too since focusing on Maiden England or just that tour would miss out a chapter in the band's history. Wishful thinking maybe but 86 was a great show to see.

I wouldn't say so:

THE EARLY DAYS TOUR
May – September 2005

SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME TOUR
February – August 2008
February – April 2009

3 years apart - so History Tour 2012 seems pretty obvious IMO.

Do you mean the tours or the dvd's? I don't think a tour is out of the question if that's what you mean? The material released on the Early Years dvd's seems fairly chronological so far, old pre EMI footage, Live At The Rainbow, Hammersmith, Dortmund, Live After Death, Behind The Iron Curtain, Rock In Rio, etc so to me the latter half of the '80's including Maiden England would seem a logical step for vol. 3 and Donington '92 for vol. 4? They have managed to release Death On The Road and Flight 666 during the same period so I'd hope TFF tour would be it's own release.

Ah! Crossed wires. I would love there to be another nostalgic setlist tour since I didn't attend the others. I doesn't seem like the band are slowing down much so it's got to be a possibility.

Both the Early Years and LAD documentary were shot in same sessions, in 2004.

I imagine the whole documentary was. (Albeit Blaze hasn't mentioned anything about it yet).
Although the Steve interviews are different for the two DVDs. (Seems much more relaxed and chatty on the LAD one)
