First summer 2010 festival date!

Yay! This has to be great  :D

However, I allow myself to hope for a show in Oslo as well since I'll probably be in my hometown at that time, which is much closer to Oslo than to Bergen.

The album should be released late next year, this summer tour will be a short tour with selected dates and just a few shows....
the album tour should be late next year or definitely in 2011...but we shall see... :)

Just announced other two shows :
maiden will headline sonisphere festival in sweden on saturday august 7th 2010 and in finland on sunday 8th 2010

I'm going! I am very curious as to what the setlist will be, I very much hope for at least a few songs from the more recent era (specifically Brave New World and DoD). But whatever it is, it will be awesome. Correction: AWESOME.

Why don't you go to Wacken? The entire lineup will be great: Immortal, W.A.S.P., Grave Digger, Cannibal Corpse, and there's a lot more to come!

:yey:

It's a possibility. I shall haveto consult with my fellow Romanian metalhead. The only issue is that I have no idea what the summer looks like in terms of what countries I will be in (apart from Sweden). When do tickets for that go on sale?

To be honest, you should be quick to get the ticket, as it will probably be sold out shortly after Christmas.

The should a lot of songs from most recent material....expecially on this next summer tour which should be a tour with their best hits.....so the setlist shoul be balanced with songs from 80's and 90's and from their last three albums.

Yes I know, but surely this summer tour will not be the tour supporting the new album, seen that new album should be released late next year.So I think the setlist will concerne songs from all period...

There really hasn't been anything to indicate the setlist yet.

Bruce has said they will be doing more recent stuff, and there's also this blurb on the Wacken announcement: "Let's look forward to an impressive Iron Maiden show as part of the "Night To Remember" at the 21st edition of the Wacken:Open:Air, celebrating the band and their immortal set of classics old and new."

Hardly conclusive, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a lot of recent stuff on this summer tour.

Well, I would appreciate it if it weren't just a re-do of the Somewhere Back in Time tour...

You'd hope they'd play at least a song from each reunion album + at least 1 from the Blaze albums.

Sign of the Cross/Clansman
Brave New World
Paschendale
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns/These Colours Don't Run/ For The Greater Good Of God

Would be most likely

Lob in the songs that they're guarenteed to play:

- Hallowed
- Iron Maiden
- Fear of the Dark
- The Number of the Beast
- The Trooper

And you have 9 songs. Possibly 1 from the next album (ala Give Me Ed Tour) and then a selection of 5-6 from the old live classics:

- The Evil That Men Do
- Wrathchild
- Phantom of the Opera
- 2 Minutes to Midnight
- Heaven Can Wait
- The Clairovoyant
- Run To The Hills
- Children of the Damned
- Wasted Years

I'm probably (certainly) completely wrong and getting all worked up for no reason!

I want to hear Rime of the Ancient Mariner again. It was great on the SBIT tour and it will be great if they play it again.

PS: A friend of mine just got tickets for himself and me. They were expensive, so the Bergenians better have some nice summer weather for us. The tickets were 200 NOK (about 30 €) more than they were when Maiden played in Trondheim ...
