Films that rock

[late 2011/2012 too long? I predict we'll get it around that time. /quote]

2012 maybe i spose the lads are a bit busy and if it covers up till Brucie leaves thats a lot of stuff .
Maiden england ,donnington twice, raising hell ,maybe it will be split .

I think it will just be Maiden England and some SIT stuff (a whole concert if we are lucky)

But Donnington 93 (?) was a good performance that deserves a DVD release and will at some point, get one. Maybe some NPFTD stuff to go with it. The Blaze era I'm not so sure about.

I've watched School Of Rock recently and I like it. Not very much, but I like it.

It's not that bad, but when it gets played 6 times a year on TV (as it does here, mostly as a Children's movie), it really gets annoying.

I've only watched that film halfway through. It was alright, but I thought Jack Black was really awkward, although part of that may be attributed to the poor dubbing.

German dubbing or actually Jack Black dubbing the lines? It's common procedure to redub for actors.

It's probably the German dubbing. It's pretty decent. Not great, but decent, in English.

:smartarse: I once won a copy of School of Rock from Noddy Holder on a radio competition (to identify a few guitar solos). I think it's a decent film, but it's the children's acting/lines which I find most awkward.

Donington, 1992

I watched "Get Him to the Greek" last night, pretty funny buddy movie about a rock star.  Some pretty solid comedy-rock songs in it.

Stroke the furry walls!

I also like "rock star" with Mark Whalberg.  It was originally going to be a Judas Priest biopic, but that got canned last minute, but the story is roughly identical to Ripper taking over from Halford.

Rock Star is a guilty pleasure of mine. Not the greatest movie, but fun enough. Wayne's World and the sequel have NOT aged well. I used to like them as a kid, now I can't stand them.

Haven't seen Rock Star yet. I'll have to check it out. I like Wayne's world though.
