To celebrate the Summer 2012 "Maiden England" North American tour by beloved U.K. Metal legends Iron Maiden, Fender and Jackson are jointly giving their fans a very special Iron Maiden Signature Model giveaway.

Three extraordinarily lucky winners will each take one of three Maiden signature models - Fender's fearsome Steve Harris Precision Bass, Dave Murray's superb Stratocaster, and Jackson's deadly Adrian Smith Signature SDX.

The three grand-prize winners will also get the spectacular Iron Maiden: En Vivo! limited edition steel box DVD set, which presents two full discs of our heroes in concert in Chile in 2011. Twenty second-place winners get the DVD set, too.

So sign up now, may the best fans win and "Up the Irons!"

Thought that some of you might be interested in this if you haven't seen it already. I came across it on facebook and of course I entered! It was a tough choice but I went with Adrian's Jackson Signature SDX :D

Good luck to anyone who enters!

Yeah I also think so... and Steves bass is more iconic lol
Edit: As Im under age I registered with my dad's data except for the email hehe

Haha! Sounds like a good plan! Good luck to you.

I know I had a hell of a time trying to pick. At first I thought you could win all 3 and I was like "ALRIGHT!!" then I saw you could only pick one and then I was like "Oh nooo!". As much as I like Steve and his awesome bass, I narrowed it down to Dave and Adrian because I'm more of a guitar girl and then I just went with Adrian because hes my favorite and his guitar is quite nice.

Yes, Adrian's guitar is very nice, yet if I was to choose a guitar would be Dave, he's my favorite maiden guitarist (quite obvious if you see my profile pic)

If it was possible, I think I would go with Dave's Strat. :) Normally I would prefer Adrian's Jackson, but apparently here they are giving the SDX, which is a cheaper version of the original H's signature. It's weird they put it with the other guitars like an equal one...

Besides I've already got Charvel So-Cal, which is really similar to Adrian's San Dimas. It looks exactly the same (that black pickguard...), but has a little bit different features (certainly not worse, IMO). Well, the sound is tremendous. Just perfect for playing maiden. Therefore I think SDX wouldn't outdo my Charvel. Dave's Stratocaster is something different, which I would really enjoy playing. Great guitar. What a tone...

If I knew that, I would have gotten the Strat or Steve's bass! I love guitars but I'm not one of those people who know anything and everything about them and know which guitar is which just by hearing them. Guess you could say I'm a guitar novice :P. If I actually owned a guitar, I'd be more of an expert...maybe.

Oh well, it will still be a very nice win anyway IF I win which is very unlikely but I can dream...

Well, when I bought my first guitar I did know nothing about guitars at all :) I just knew I want to play. I didn't even know that you need a pick, so I tortured my thumb for a couple of months (yeah, it took that long for me to know!)... :D I'm still not an expert, but yes, some practical knowledge came itself as I needed to understand certain things in order to make progress.

The difference between the 'true' model and SDX is that the second one is made in China* (not USA, like the original) with another type of wood, Jackson no-name pickups and different bridge as well as the tuning machines. Maybe there is something more, but I think these are the main differences which made the crucial impact on the costs...

Too be honest, I haven't played on either of this two guitars, but I suppose that difference is major. Surely SDX is a pretty good guitar anyway ;) Definitely seems to be good in it's price range. Besides it would be easy to modify and make it more like the original. Though the type of wood is an unskippable obstacle, you can change the pickups and even the bridge for the same that Adrian has. It costs, but still will be cheaper than the American signature San Dimas. :)

* I'm not 100% sure about the country, but that's what I've heard...

I use to have a guitar. It was all black and I think it was an ESP. I tried teaching myself how to play it but I had too much going on at the time so I didn't keep at it. I ended up leaving it at my in-laws house when my husband and I moved to our own place....but I'm half thinking of getting it back if my brother-in-law isn't too attached to it. I had the guitar when I was in high school but now that I'm older, maybe I'll try my hand at it again.

Thanks for all the info! I wasn't quite expecting that much but it was very informative at any rate. Now if someone were to ask me the same type of question, I can feel smart! :D If I do happen to win the SDX or somehow get my hands on one, I'll keep the mods in mind too.

So try the guitar at his place and check if playing is fun for you. :) Then let the negotiations begin... :D Having more time to play surely changes the attitude for better. It may be fun.

I'm glad I could help. And good luck to you in the contest!

It was all black

Every metalhead knows that white guitars don't sound at all... :devil2:
(joke! - white guitars ftw!)

Sounds like a good plan and I don't really think any negotiations will be necessary....its rightfully MY guitar so I should just be able to have it back. If he has a problem...I'll just steal it! :devil2: Hes a bass man anyway soo...don't think the guitar will be sorely missed.

Thank you and I'd say good luck to you too only....you can't enter :/ Once again, i'm sorry to hear that you can't.

Well of course every metalhead knows that. If its not black then it can't possibly be metal. Its pretty much a heavy metal rule that everything has to black :edmetal: :P

Thank you, but there's no need to be so dramatic :D Knowing my 'luck' I wouldn't win anyway. And I'm perfectly fine with my Adrian-style Charvel :) That Dave's Strat is a beast but... nevermind

Well I just want everyone to get a fair chance at getting one of these awesome guitars :D Its just stupid that its not available for some areas...

Its just stupid that its not available for some areas...

I hope they have a solid reason for those limits.

I remember when I wanted to watch That Metal Show episode featuring Adrian it was the same. In USA you are free to watch it online. Unfortunately we have no access to this kind of broadcast in Europe... But that's quite understandable, because it seems they are allowed to show it for free only there due to some regulations. Frustrating but understandable. Or... *almost* understandable... But fortunately we still have access to good old... torrents :D
