Favourite Drum Parts by Clive Burr

Before we begin, a big shout out the main man behind the kit, Nicko (for whom we already have a dedicated thread) and of course Simon Dawson for carrying on the flag!

This thread is for discussing some of your favourite drum parts by Clive, whom I believe brought an unimaginable high energy in the songs through his drumming in the band's first three albums (Iron Maiden, Killers and The Number Of The Beast).

My favourites:

The intro to Another Life is just surreal! Not to mention even Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater has called it as his favourite drum intro.

Similarly, the intro to Run To The Hills is just iconic as well!

Now, Gangland may not be my favourite Maiden song but Clive's drumming in it is totally first class.

Definitely The Prisoner. Then: Run To The Hills, 22, Murders, Genghis Khan, Killers, Phantom, Prowler, Transylvania, Iron Maiden...

actually you can say all, Clive's drumming in all 3 albums is pure gold! What a speed and swing! Unique drummer.
