I prefer the Arch years but it´s an Alder album that´s my favorite: Parallels.

Parallels is probably my 2nd favorite Fates album after Spectre Within - although I sometimes rate Disconnected and FWX higher than Parallels (the lyrics of the first two FW albums of the 2000's always hit me in the gut)

New song "Scars" is growing on me a bit. Matheos' riffs and Vera's bass (which manages to be audible in several places) are a highlight. Alder's voie is solid as always, though he sings the chorus similarly throughout (wish he'd mix it up a bit) - after four listens this stands as a 3.5/5 for me.

New Matheos/Alder project:

This is honestly really cool. The whole project seems to just be guitar and vocals. It gives some Pleasant Shade vibes.
