Entombed CD Release Date

ENTOMBED have set an August 6 European release date through Music For Nations Records for their eighth full-length album, "Inferno". The follow-up to 2001's "Morning Star" was released in the U.S. in late June through Koch International, but was pulled from the shelves after it was determined that the label hadn't secured the proper rights to issue the album. "[Koch released the CD] without letting the band know, and without having a contract signed for the record," reads a post on ENTOMBED's web site. "It is not really Koch International's fault, as [Music For Nations] gave them the album in belief that it was the right thing to do. The album has been pulled back in the States, and will be released in the beginning of next year by [the band's own] Threeman Recordings through Century Media Records USA."

In other news, the band have outlined their touring plans for the rest of the year. "In September the band will do shows in Sweden and Finland. In October/ November, it seems like ENTOMBED will open up for KING DIAMOND in the States. And in December the band will do more shows in Scandinavia. We will try to cover Europe as well at some point."

In other ENTOMBED-related news, the group's "Uprising", "Morning Star" and "Inferno" albums will be released on vinyl this month through Threeman Recordings. In addition, the same label will release the debut album from ALPHA SAPHARI (formerly WASHOE), featuring ENTOMBED guitarist Uffe Cederlund and three former members of MISERY LOVES CO. (vocalist Patrik Wirén, bassist Patrik Thorngren and drummer Olle Dahlstedt). The CD, titled "Commercial Suicide", is due before the end of the year.
