Newbie here..To the site not the Band

Finally purchased the Ed Hunter CD.

I have come across a problem in that the game was designed for Windows 95 or 98 and I am running XP. Does anyone know where I can find a patch to run the game?

Run Ineedabrain v 1.05 seven time before you restart your computer, then install Stupidquestions v 2.0 before you log into this forum again. After you've burned incense until the whole room is smoked up, run around your computer 666 times - naked! Invoke the mighty H all night until you drop of exhaustion.

There's a few other subtleties you need to know but I won't go into that, as I was sworn to secrecy by higher powers, but it would be the first step for you to get a patch for EdHunter. Why don't you get an eye-patch instead and scream "Avast!" to whoever you meet? Just a suggestion...

May the Blurp be with you.

Hey Maverick hows it going? I'm the guy who emailed you about the bootleg maiden videos a while back...I'm thrilled to see the forum so ALIVE !!!

For ED HUNTER:

This may work so give it a shot---

find the application startup file icon should be "Ed Hunter.exe" or something...right click and look for a "compatability"tab..check it and select windows 95 or 98.

Good luck...

be sure and post your result here so others will know what to do!

Holy Bump Batman, searched EdHunter and found it.
I was planning to grab ed hunter but was wondering as ive got vista and 7 (different comps) will it work or how to make it work.
Greatly appreciated if someone has the slightest clue. I tried research but got a load of IBM compatability stuff i didnt have a clue about  :smartarse:

Played the game only once (it was probably on Windows 98), the game is a complete piece of rubbish. Anyway, after installing the game you could try right-clicking on edhunter.exe, selecting Propreties and then turning on one of the compatibility mode options. I fear that would be your only option, apart from installing a dual-boot Windows 95/98 on your PC.

Thanks but i was hoping the answer would be 'no itll be fine and should play right away' , ill try that then if i do get it and im sure its aweful being from 1999 and all but i know if i dont get it then ill have a nagging hole in my maiden cds somewhere down the line and get it anyway     i think they should release a modern follow up personally... with a much better version of that tff game on the site... like a space race section  oh the possibilities.
