DoD - Orchestral version 2?

That's a picture of my 3" single of Rainmaker. Notice the second track, DoD - Orchestral version 2. Has anybody else who got this single figured out what the difference between the regular orchestral version and the second version is?

You can't hear the difference?! [!--emo&:blink:--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blink.gif\' /][!--endemo--] Wow! I think it's very obvious!
 
orchestral version has some more keyboard melodies, you can hear it definitelly, unless you're totally deaf [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
 
I'll be honest I've not heard the Rainmaker singles yet but if the Orchestral version is the same quality as the Wildest Dreams ones then I wont be able to tell the difference

Indeed! I think there's a huge difference, and one doesn't need to be a musician to hear it.
 
ok and now back to the original question:

what's the difference between the Orchestral mix on the normal cd-single, and the one on the 3" single (which is labelled as Orchestral Version 2) ?

if someone reminds me of this tomorrow I might listen to both tracks to find out [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
It's too late to do that now.
 
But as for me, I'm pretty against that orchestral stuff, because it's a trend and I don't want Maiden to be trendy, like S**tallica & Rage! Didn't they say that they're not gonna record any orchestral stuff (ummm... in the beginning of the 80s they often said that they'd never use synths [!--emo&;)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/wink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'wink.gif\' /][!--endemo--])? But, actually, it's just a B-side. I hope they're not gonna do an orchestral album...

So what if it's trendy? If it's good then that's all that matters!

If it's trendy, it won't be an event, and it will remain unseen if it's released now, because so many bands do symphonic stuff nowadays! To make it a really memorable event, they'd better wait a couple of (or even 5) years...

Maiden is already unseen in the public eye, so it would't change a thing. And when you say "so many bands", it's really just Metallica. I'm well aware that other bands have used an orchestra, but the general public tend to be unaware of that. They only know of Metallica.

In 5 years they're probably starting to retire, so I don't think they should wait that long.

Not only. People also know about Scorpions and Rage. And, by the way, I won't be pleased if Maiden start to be like POPSallica! That's why I don't mind orchestral B-sides but mind orchestra album.

Maiden won't be like Metallica just because they do an orchestral album. Why should they suffer because of them? They don't have to hype it up like 'tallica and do a video. They can just make an album...plain and simple. I wouldn't mind at all.
