Definitely agree about calling it interesting before great. I think the gritty edge is executed much better on the next album.

Dammit Mosh, you should have brought in Mean Street and the rest of Fair Warning
Very hard.

And I forgot how much I love Romeo. What a great, underrated song

Fair Warning has joined the battle!

Ain't Talkin Bout Love
Everybody Wants Some
One Foot out The Door
Sunday Afternoon

My favorite Van Halen album. I love the moodiness of this and Ed's guitar playing is amazing as always. The only flaw is that it's really short, but the same can be said for most of the DLR era albums. Which is something I never understood, since they had such a large repertoire back then. There are no bad songs on this album, with a little more work, the last two songs could've turned into something really cool. I'm gonna have a really hard time voting for songs from FW.

Edit: I just realized I called the album Mean Street. Oops

'Fair Warning' is easily the best Van Halen album. It contains 3 of their best songs ('Mean Street', 'Unchained', and 'Hear About It Later') which you'd better not vote out.

Hear About It Later is my number three, but it's definitely playoff material.

On the GNR thread they were piling on Heaven's Door partly because it's a cover.
Not so You really Got Me

Well You Really Got Me is an exception for me. It's lightyears better than the original and one of the highlights of the album. Also Eruption is godly.

But that's a rare exception. I'll be voting for all the covers on Diver Down except Where Have All The Good Times Gone, at least for the first couple rounds.
