Alright, I guess I find music too important (when it's really strong) to be bothered with a few words I don't understand.

I understood the lyrics, having read the book, I just think that any lyric that includes Kwizatz Haderach and Gom Jabbar is pretty damn silly.  I otherwise do like the song, though.

Back to Dio:  The video for Mystery was on TV the other night, and my 5-year-old son asked me to replay it 3-4 more times (gotta love TiVo).  Not my favorite Dio song, but I was pleased nonetheless.  If I had to rank my five favorite Dio songs, it would be an imperfect list, as it would be drawn entirely from the first three albums, as I'm not as familiar with the others.  Still, they'd be:

1.  Don't Talk To Strangers
2.  Egypt
3.  Holy Diver
4.  Rainbow in the Dark (I know, I know, I'm lame)
5.  Sacred Heart

Dio Week has now ended ... come on over to Judas Priest Week!

Note: Dio Week never really ends, because Dio never ends. Ronnie James Dio is without beginning and without end; never born and will never die.

(Or at least, that's as good a reason as any why no one knows when he was actually born. Not even Dio himself.)

I didn't contribute to this topic as much as I wanted to. Still I'd like to state that my favourite Dio album is
"The Last in Line"

Imo it has the best Dio artwork...

.. and more important: Dio's best song:

Egypt (The Chains Are On).

I like the pace of this track, the way it's built up. There's this minor keyboard contribution which is small but without it the track lacks something. Favourite moment is when Vivian Campbell plays this beautiful guitar melody (starting from 5.17). It could be my favourite guitar melody ever.

And yes, 1984 was an excellent (if not the best) year in hardrock.
