It seems a little Ironic that in the recent Metal Hammer magazine this month's as a matter of fact there featured an interview with Phil from Pantera. The interview was about his departure from Pantera in 2002. He is where the conspiracy comes into play. During that interview Phil talks about mainly his hatred for Dimebag, I feel this is a little bit coinsidental as Dimebag is gunned down within 2 weeks of that Magazine being published. So my theory is simple....I think the shooter was an obcessed Pantera fan, and when Phil walked out on them it broke him and pushed him over the edge. Bearing In mind that Phil walked out 2 years ago I think the shooter could have seen the caption of Phil's Interview, realised that Phil left Pantera because of Dimebag and so decided to take matters into his own hands. This theory is the closest motive that I have been able to suggest for his actions but you need to look at the concert. The shooter gets onstage and goes striaght for Dimebag....why ? Then fires more shots a Vinnie...former Pantera drummer, then starts shooting into the crowd in panic. I want this to be sent around cause I think this is a close to perfect motive for the killings so feel free to post it everywhere you can. The main question that is playing in my head and has been since I heard of this tragedy is......Is Phil To Blame ?

it does certainly make you wonder cause i was thinking exactly the same thing, but i'm sure many people will have there theory's on this subject but in the end - did he have to do that????

I don't understand what the big fuss is about. It's just another victim killed by an arsehole like thousands every day. Why make it special?

This whole thing brings me back to 1994 when the whole planet was mourning the death of Ayton Senna while at the same time blissfully ignoring the slaughter of 500,000 innocent people in Rwanda... I think the reason there is so much fuss is because Dimebag was a guitar/music legend and idolised by millions much like when Elvis died. I'm sure you would feel different if Adrian Smith or any of the other Maiden members had been shot dead on stage.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't give a monkeys. It'd be sad, but no more or less than any other innocent person being killed for no reason.
 
The fuss is more or less about never being able to see a Pantera reunion now, never hearing any more is excellent guitar playing, and the like. It's awful to see any innocent person die in such a way, even if they aren't famous and an awesome guitarist. It only proves how insane people can be. I'm saddened about Dimebag's death just like loads of others.
