Comeback Kings: 10 veteran metal bands that have stayed relevant

Worship Music has some decent songs, but no one cares. They are a cabaret act. The past 10 years of the band have been a joke because of the ridiculous amount of singer swaps. They haven't been popular since Sound of White Noise and they haven't had any "relevant" songs since We've Come for You All.

I saw slayer in concert last November. Tom is getting old. He looks more like he is suitable to play santa claus at the mall now than what he is doing. He was all for calling it a day after Jeff died

I've seen Slayer and Anthrax twice each in the last three years. Slayer with Holt and Lombardo, whilst Hanneman was sick, were awesome. After Hann's death, with Bostaph on drums, they were disappointing. Anthrax were awesome both times. Yes, they've been a bit of a soap opera, but on record and on stage, they've been brilliant.

I was sceptical about Slayer, but I saw them twice - both times without Jeff and second time without Lombardo and they kicked ass both times. Holt and Bostaph aren't Hannemann and Lombardo, but the songs still kick ass.

Anthrax was also cool, although I'm not really a fan and I saw them with Jon Dette on drums. Belladonna is the heart of the band, has so much energy.

^ they'll never play my favorite slayer tunes though :( "Metal Storm, Face the Slayer" wow riffs all the way through and "Necrophobic"
