Campaign 1: Fire Battalion, Battle 1 - HolyHell vs Alestorm

HolyHell. HolyHell were signed to Joey DeMaio's Magic Circle Music label, they toured for years as Manowar's court jesters support act, Rhino was their original drummer, Eric Adams sang on one of their tracks, Francisco Palomo (their keyboarder) helped out Manowar, the band members are from New York and have Italian names... need I say more?

Alestorm. They have sailed the seven seas (of metal) since 2004, when they were still known as Battleheart. Ever since, they have plundered all ports from here to Hong Kong and released a total of four treasure chests full of swashbuckling, ale-consuming, barnacle-busting True Scottish Pirate Metal. Arr.

With the power of ale, we cannot fail! Alestorm makes you want to spank your spouse and sail off into the sunset with a bottle of rum in one hand and wenches under the other.

For the first minute of that HolyHell song, I was thinking, "This isn't that cheesy..." And then the vocals started. Whoa boy.

However, Alestorm has all the cheese. Because they took it. At the point of a sword. And then ate it with your best wench. Whom they also took.

Yeah, I was like, this isn't bad, I mean, sounds like Kamelot, which definitely have a cheese factor, and then the vocals kick in, and you're like...whoa. Edam. But it's not the giant pile of roquefort that is Alestorm. I mean, HolyHell are TRYING to be legit. Alestorm? Fuck you, we're just delivering cheese.
